Dear Friends and colleagues,

It is our a great pleasure to welcome you again in Monastir to participate in the 12th edition of the Panafrican Course on Interventional Cardiology (PAFCIC 2011) that will be held from September 29th to October 1st, 2011. 

This year, the first day of PAFCIC coincides with the world heart day that we will celebrate our way.

Cardiovascular disease prevention is of paramount importance particularly in African countries where ischemic heart disease is becoming a dangerous epidemic, representing a heavy burden beyond the ability of public health systems to handle.

As for the previous years, a number of well known speakers from around the world will share with us this event, allowing all the participants to take advantage from their large experiences. Live transmissions from several centers will enrich the debate, but also there will be workshops, debates symposia, abstract presentations and much more to make of PAFCICI a genius forum for knowledge and exchange. A social program for you to relax after the two and a half days of heavy work will allow you to have taste of the pleasant life in the beautiful city of Monastir.
